KUTXO, origin of the name

Carção village has always been known for being a land of “dogs” or “kutxos”. They helped to obtain the raw material needed to tan the cattle hides that for centuries were the livelihood of many families in this remote village of “Tras-os-Montes”. Later, it became a faithful friend of the Almocreve in its travels between villages.

Frame

The NORDEST KUTXO, our monster gravel or 29er drop bar adventure model, it is designed to snake along trails, levitate over mountains and devour kilometres of rough tracks. Adaptable geometry and wide component compatibility will allow you to enjoy this frame on everything from single-tracks to multi-day bikepacking to long gravel rides.

The frame of the NORDEST KUTXO is a fun, quiet and fast gravel model with a geometry close to that of a mountain bike.

With 120mm fork capacity and clearance for tyres up to 29er 2.4. Its more open head tube angle and greater reach allow the use of shorter stems and wider handlebars. Adding a rigid fork makes it an ideal setup for long distance touring.

Manufactured with a new double butted CRMO4130 STEEL tubing, with a modern geometry designed by Pedro Jerónimo, it has been tested by riders with excellent results in all conditions. This frame has a chainstays of only 430 mm compatible with wheels up to 29er 2.4″.

Designed for forks with 483 mm length and 51 mm rake, you can also install a suspension fork with 100/120 mm travel. The KUTXO is ready to attach all kinds of racks, bags, panniers, mudguards and accessories you can imagine.

Fork

This rigid fork is engineered for our Nordest Kutxo frame and is compatible with any frame designed for 100 mm. travel fork, can accommodate a 29 x 2.6″ tire with ease, and is the perfect choice for many 29er frames.

The Kutxo fork dropouts were specifically designed and manufactured to deal with the forces that such a long fork will endure with large tyres.

The brake support is direct mount type, for flat mount brake caliper.

Guide rails are available to install a disc brake, as well as holes for front rack mounting and Three-Pack on both sides of the fork.

QR 15×110 thru-axle included with the fork.
