The Nordest Sardinha 3 TI is a machine to taste kilometers, comfortably, without haste, without problems, with our baggage well secured and weights distributed optimally, keeping low the center of gravity.

The adventurer Sardinha 3 Ti is designed to run autonomously on dirt tracks for many days, with the safety, comfort and convenience offered by a double butted TITANIUM TiAl3V2.5 tubing frame and modern safety geometry thanks to the head tube angle and the short chainstays. Many travellers have tested the prototypes and agree in highlighting the incredible comfort of its geometry, how well it climbs and how confident it is, even in difficult descents.

The frame can accommodate plus wheels for extra traction and flotation: 27.5 "+ up to 3.0" and 29" + up to 2.6". You can mount it with a rigid fork or a suspension fork with 100/120 mm of travel. The frame is prepared to fit all types of supports, bags, saddlebags and accessories you can imagine.

ORIGIN OF THE SARDINHA NAME

One of the ancient occupations of the inhospitable Nordeste (Portugal) was that of the almocreves; austere merchants who carried their saddlebags with goods to supply the Trasmontanos from village to village.

One of the typical products they carried was sardinhas (sardines). Very famous also outside the country, the Portuguese sardinhas travelled through Trás-os-Montes countless times on the back of pack animals led by the almocreves.

We have been inspired by these noble merchants to design the Nordest Sardinha 3, a bikepacking created to go to the end of the world (and come back in one piece). Here the philosophy is to enjoy every pedalling, to discover the landscape and the people that the trip offers us, to contemplate the stars in some remote place, and the next morning to roll up the sleeping bag to continue the adventure.

For 32" wheelset size, the Nordest GIMONDE Ti frame is a "downcountry" model with a passion for travel and bikepacking.

With 468mm short chainstays with 32er wheels and 76º saddle tube angle for fast climbing, and extra long top tube, 40mm stem and 66º head tube angle for 490mm to 530mm fork length. This explosive cocktail makes the Gimonde Ti pure madness! Try it first and we'll talk after!

And now you can carry your panniers on the bike because the new version also has eyelets on the seat stays that allow you to install a rack

The frame is manufactured in TITANIUM TI-3Al-2.5V double butted tubing, with an advanced study of geometry designed by Nordest, has been tested by riders with excellent results in all conditions.

The frame is compatible with the new SRAM UDH Full Mount rear derailleurs.

Designed for forks with 490mm to 530mm and 32" up 2.4" tires, the safety in descents and cornering is simply incredible.

GIMONDE, Where Rivers and Trade Converge

Nestled in the heart of Trás-os-Montes, just a few kilometres from Bragança, the small village of Gimonde occupies a privileged place in both the geography and the collective memory of this austere yet generous land. Its location is no accident: the village sits at the confluence of two rivers, the Sabor and the Onor, whose waters meet in a natural embrace that for centuries made this corner of the world an inevitable landmark for all who travelled the roads of the northeastern transmontane region.

That quality of being a river crossroads made Gimonde something far greater than a simple stopping point. For generations, it was the great gathering place of the almocreves — the muleteers and itinerant traders who rode from village to village across the comarca, bringing door to door the goods that the people of the interior could scarcely obtain any other way. Before setting out on their routes through the mountains and valleys of the region, the almocreves would meet in Gimonde to stock up on sardines, the most prized and most sought-after item in their trade. There they loaded their baskets and saddlebags, agreed on prices and mapped out their routes, and steeled themselves for the days of hard travel that lay ahead.

From that deeply rooted custom grew an expression that became etched into the everyday speech of the whole area. When an almocreve took his leave of family or neighbours before heading out to earn his keep, he would say, with a mixture of resolve and quiet resignation: "Vou para Gimonde ganhar-me a vida" — "I'm off to Gimonde to earn my living." The phrase said everything: Gimonde was not a place of rest, but a point of departure, the threshold from which the daily struggle to survive began in a land of harsh winters and fragile livelihoods.

Among the villages that looked to Gimonde as an essential waypoint, Carção stood out — a hamlet further north, in the municipality of Vimioso. For its inhabitants, the road to Bragança or to the markets of the comarca passed inevitably through Gimonde. It was the place to pause, to drink cool water from the river, to exchange news and learn what was happening in the neighbouring villages. In a time without telephones or paved roads, Gimonde quietly fulfilled the indispensable role of a hub of human connection.

EU shipping included

The Nordest Britango 4 frame is a "downcountry" model. And what is "downcountry"? Well, it's something we invented in Nordest and it looks like a cross country bike when you go up a mountain track and an enduro bike when you go down fast on the trails.

And how is that possible? Simple: 425mm ultra short chainstays with 29er wheels and 75º saddle tube angle for fast climbing, and extra long top tube, 40mm stem and 66º head tube angle for 140mm fork with 20% SAG to go down like a demon. This explosive cocktail makes the Britango 4 pure madness! Try it first and we'll talk after!

And now you can carry your panniers on the bike because the new version also has eyelets on the seat stays that allow you to install a rack

The frame is manufactured in CRMO 4130 double butted tubing, with an advanced study of geometry designed by Nordest, has been tested by riders with excellent results in all conditions.

The new version 4 is compatible with the new SRAM UDH Full Mount rear derailleurs.

Designed for a 140 mm front suspension travel (allows from 120 mm to 140 mm) and compatible with 27.5"+ x 2.8" or 29" x 2,6" wheels, the safety in descents and cornering is simply incredible.

BRITANGO

Also known as the Egyptian vulture, the Britango (Neophron percnopterus), is the smallest of the Iberian vultures. It is a bird of prey with essentially white and black plumage, a yellow face and a long, cuneiform tail.

The Britango is a summer migrator, which can generally be seen in Portugal, Spain and the Canary Islands from the end of February, remaining in the nesting zones from March to September. During the autumn it migrates south, spending the winter in sub-Saharan Africa. It prefers rugged areas, usually in river valleys and mountains, nesting in holes and rocky platforms.

In Portugal, the Douro International (Tras-os-Montes) is one of the places where it is easier to observe, but occasionally it appears in other parts of the country. In this region, which includes regions of Portugal and Spain, are one of the most important populations of the Iberian Peninsula.

In the Canary Islands, the Neophron percnopterus receives the common name of "guirre", being a species totally adapted to the geography of the eastern islands, especially in Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.

EU SHIPPING INCLUDED

KUTXO, origin of the name

Carção village has always been known for being a land of "dogs" or "kutxos". They helped to obtain the raw material needed to tan the cattle hides that for centuries were the livelihood of many families in this remote village of "Tras-os-Montes". Later, it became a faithful friend of the Almocreve in its travels between villages.

The NORDEST KUTXO 2, our monster gravel or 29er drop bar adventure model, it is designed to snake along trails, levitate over mountains and devour kilometres of rough tracks. Adaptable geometry and wide component compatibility will allow you to enjoy this frame on everything from single-tracks to multi-day bikepacking to long gravel rides.

The frame of the NORDEST KUTXO 2 is a fun, quiet and fast gravel model with a geometry close to that of a mountain bike.

With 120mm fork capacity and clearance for tyres up to 29er 2.4. Its more open head tube angle and greater reach allow the use of shorter stems and wider handlebars. Adding a rigid fork makes it an ideal setup for long distance touring.

The 68mm BSA bottom bracket allows to assembly with gravel or mountain bike cranks and making it compatible with 1x chainrings (max 42T) or 2x chainrings (max 46T) with a front derailleur.

The new version 2 is compatible with the new SRAM UDH Full Mount rear derailleurs.

Manufactured with a new double butted CRMO4130 STEEL tubing, with a modern geometry designed by Pedro Jerónimo, it has been tested by riders with excellent results in all conditions. This frame has a chainstays of only 435 mm compatible with wheels up to 29er 2.4".

You can mount it with a rigid fork or a suspension fork with 100/120 mm of travel. The NORDEST KUTXO 2 is ready to attach all kinds of racks, bags, panniers, mudguards and accessories you can imagine.

Two colour options: Black or Green Matte.

CANDONDA

[Informal] Smuggling of food or other products.

THE FRAME

We have been inspired by all bicycle travellers to design the Nordest Candonga 2 Ti, a gravel/anything bike designed to go to the end of the world (and come back in one piece). Here the philosophy is to enjoy each pedalada, to discover the landscape and the people that the trip offers us, to contemplate the stars in some remote place, and the following morning to roll the sleeping bag to continue the adventure.

Our Nordest Candonga 2 Ti frame is a fast gravel model with Pinion C1.12 gearbox 12 speeds with a traditional drive chain or Gates belt drive. You can build your bike at your convenience, or choose the options we recommend in our kits. The PINION C1.12i gearbox option is also available with its smart electronic gear shifting system.

You can order the Nordest Candonga 2 Ti for drop handlebar or flat handlebar. Check both geometries before ordering.

The frame is manufactured in TITANIUM Ti3Al2.5V double butted tubing, with an advanced study of geometry with a Pinion gearbox designed by Pedro Jerónimo, has been tested by riders with excellent results in all conditions. With just 420/440 mm chainstays and up to 650b 2.10 or 700x50c compatible wheels.

Designed for a 400mm with 52mm rake fork and compatible up to 650b 2.10 or 7'00x50c wheels, the safety in descents and cornering is simply incredible.

ASSEMBLY RECOMMENDATIONS

For mounting the frame with the PINION C1.12i Smart.Shifter gearbox, we recommend,

TRP HYWIRE with flat mount brake calipers and 160mm discs. You can add them to your order here.

The calm life!

That's what I had in mind when I designed the 3003. I can admire the landscape in comfort, safely seated. The adventure no longer means counting the miles, and the clock doesn’t distract me. The night sky moves along its path, or the sun shines overhead, and I roll along, enjoying every moment, every trail, every road, always calm.

The 3003 is made for the journeys that linger in your memory. Travel, take on some trails, navigate the city, or just follow your own compass.

Forget this model if you're looking for competition. It's not for racing or rushing. The 3003 is for those who are passionate about enjoying life. It’s harmony on two wheels. It’s for contemplating the view and forgetting the stress of the day.

Whether it's 7 km through the city or a 700 km journey, the pleasure of the ride will be unforgettable!
